On Adin’s second wave… great first turn.. but look at the horizontal finishes on his subsequent maneuvers. “Half turns” is the most accurate description without sounding demeaning. Look at that wave and substitute Adin for Keanu or Maxime. I think we would all be saying “where is the power and savagery? JJF, Filipe or Ethan would be blowing the back out of those sections. That is safety surfing personified.”
nah. watch Adin’s first wave. Frontside round turn. Imai’s first turn… blew the fins out. Then watch the down the line moves. They matched up on one… but look at the horizontal endings of Adin’s maneuvers – where his nose is pointing. Then look at Imai’s nose which is facing the other way. Very close… But you are talking about a 6.33 and a 6. Not an 8 and a 6. So if you look at the first turns alone… Imai’s wave is rightfully better.
