When Kelly talks we listen and, yesterday, he delivered his long-awaited thoughts on the Covid-19 vaccines being rushed into production.
I don’t need to remind you of the current pandemic, of Operation Warp Speed that cut traditional regulations and is speeding preventative medicines to a weary public.
But what does Kelly feel?
In a strongly worded Instagram post, he quoted pharmaceutical giant Pfizer’s former Chief Science Officer Dr. Mike Yeadon…
There is absolutely no need for vaccines to extinguish the pandemic. I’ve never heard such nonsense talked about vaccines. You do not vaccinate people who aren’t at risk from a disease. You don’t set about planning to vaccinate millions of fit and healthy people with a vaccine that hasn’t been extensively tested on human subjects.

Dr. Yeadon has been making the interview rounds, of late, throwing much shade on the pandemic, saying that almost all tests for Covid-19 are false positives and, “Were it not for the test data that you get from the TV all the time, you would rightly conclude that the pandemic was over, as nothing much has happened. Of course people go to the hospital, moving into the autumn flu season…but there is no science to suggest a second wave should happen.”
Thought provoking but back to Kelly not being an epidemiologist… I feel if he put his mind to it he would be the world’s greatest. I feel he would win 11 epidemiological titles with only a brief challenge, in the middle of his run, from Michelle Bachelet.

If you’ve take the time, I can see you are intellectually lazy, to look up who he is you’d see that he was the chief scientist at Pfizer — he’s a leading expert in field. He and quite a few others are trying to tell people that taking an experimental vaccine, which is not a vaccine at all but rather Gene therapy, which will change your body forever is not a good idea. I guess life or death isn’t serious to some people, I can’t imagine why. Surfers are my extended family I feel strongly that they know what they are about to do when taking that jab. Part of me just wants to keep my mouth shut so that the surf spots will thin out from the brain dead that take this jab.
I don’t know if you’ve see what happens when you die of this vaccine but the videos are showing everywhere and except for a few places like odysee, rumble etc.. they are quickly taken down. Not because they are bullsh*t, but they stop people from taking the vaccine.

I love talking shit on Kelly, but his commentary when he’s in the booth is pretty good, at least when he manages to talk about someone besides himself.
Kelly’s strength is he has an almost photographic memory of past heats, what the surf was like in previous contests, end of year ranking positions, and things like that. He’s almost on the savant level to be able to remember placings at Bells or the pro-junior 30 years ago.
But none of that really translates into anything informative while you’re watching a heat. Barton is much more insightful.
With Kelly it’s like he’s reading verbatim the sports almanac from Back to the Future. With Barton it’s like listening to the wrap up of who won and why.
You do realise “savant” does not just mean being really ridiculously good at something, right? It means borderline retarded but with one exceptional skill. Now, you could argue that Kelly, like most professional surfers, is at least a little bit lacking upstairs, but “savant” would suggest he is barely able to function as a human in most aspects of daily life.
