There was definitely more action , big hits , and big falls and shenanigans over at City Beach Newcastle for the Nudie Boardriders Battle …. better commentary team too
North Narrabeen ….with a great team of QS stars , but no absent CT surfers , took the win … My Club Elouera , missed out on the final by a point , missing CT surfer Connor O’Leary , (who put up another excellent score at Rottnest ) …but we blooded Jarvis Earle ,our 17 year old super grom … who stood up to the challenge , as Power Surfer , and took out the Rabbit Bartholomew Award for his performance ( best surfer at the event ) so we are happy on both coasts .

Reminds me of when Dusty Payne “saw a shark” at the RC Search San Francisco. i surfed out there for years, and never saw a shark nor did anyone I knew. But Dusty saw a shark in the first heat of round one!
