Wtf is this highlight reel – first 2 mins are bonkers
so blue (Turo) blocked red /Finn) from getting the required score (6.43?). Disqualifying Turo still didn’t help Finn because white had leapfrogged him in the last minute and Finn stayed in third. So Finn remains the victim of the current interference rules. This feels similar to when Parko blocked Kelly to allow Andy to get his winning wave at pipe. I wonder if this is actually solvable or whether someone willing to cop an interference will always be able to fuck up the heat in favour of his buddies?
Yep. Turo was first in his heat with 5 min to go. Each of his competitors then caught 1 wave and Turo went from first to last. With 10 seconds left, he vented his frustration by pointlessly dropping in on Finn, who may have had a chance to get the score he needed and advance.
Turo deserves to have an Acai bowl slapped outta his hand.
Absolutely. Finn was surprisingly sportsmanlike towards him afterwards, considering that. And white is buying Turo beers all night long for hindering Finn from taking his second place away.
