Or sometimes no one wants to sponsor us maybe because we are not model good looking and our boobs are too small so we have to breed French bulldogs and use their puppies to pay for plane tickets around the world so we can compete in professional surf contests but we get dropped into the Qualifying Series as opposed to the Championship Tour but even then when a competitor on the Championship Tour gets hurt and we should be given the injury replacement we aren’t and we know that it is a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day.
Yes, according to the World Surf League:
Bronte Macauley will be surfing the Roxy Pro because CT star Lakey Peterson recently broke her ankle and withdrew from the first event. Macaulay has an elite level reputation to live up to: Her dad, Dave Macaulay, was on the Championship Tour in the 1980s and ’90s. She just missed the CT cutoff in 2015, so we expect her to make the most of this opportunity.

As much as I would love to see Bronte surf, people below are correct in asking why the Women have double standards with the call up spot for the Womens World Tour? Why is it next WT qualifier for men and whoever you feel like for the Womens? I spent nine years on the World Tour and saw this happen to Chelsea Hedges also, who is a previous World Champ and event winner at Snapper. Yes improve the sport, but do it fairly!
Such a shame that it’s not Sylvana, she owns this place!!!

It get’s worse for Silvana, Channel 9 Sports Show Wide World of Sports had her as a topic of their “Sunday Serve” yesterday and the panel including females had no sympathy, they pointed out she only had 10k Instagram followers and maybe it’s as much of a personality issue as it is lack of boob.

Even Beach Grit considered by many to be the holy grail of surf gossip was so disinterested they couldn’t be bothered spending the minute or so it took. As Dunsta highlights above the spot is clearly Bronte’s, even as at today 2016 WQS ratings have Bronte 30 spots clear of Silvana.
When Silvana’s sponsor is hosting a WCT event, then I’m sure she will get in.
Maybe 40 people in the world care if it’s Bronte or Silviana, ie themselves and their friends, or maybe I am being generous?
Sure, but it’s still bullshit and should be rectified. I’ve never heard of ‘a Bronte’ before, but I’m guessing she’s an entitled sponsored teen who’s partial to a tight bikini. Bummer for Silvana and my FS team.

Explain how Melling got the wildcard for Snapper then. The tours don’t seem to work the same way, if they did Silvana would be granted the wildcard for Snapper. Melling missed the ‘CT by one spot last year as did Silvana, therefore she should get the call up. But then again she doesn’t look great in a bikini, so Bronte is clearly more deserving.
Melling doesn’t look good in a Bikini either. To be honest I don’t give a shit who gets the wildcard, they’re just making up numbers at this point. Would it be worth Silvanas while to travel here with no sponsors to make up the numbers anyway? I don’t know. Sometimes you have to know when it’s time to give it up.
