Ward Stories takes another sordid turn as Mr Christopher Will Ward once again finds himself behind bars.

Following the breadcrumbs leads us back to early last year, when the couple made quite the splash on social media. His wife, Michelle Marie, used her access to the surfer’s instagram page to post a picture of her bruised and battered face, along with text that read, “I’m a professional athlete. I love my wife. But I spread lies about her. So here’s the truth. This is how I love. Truth is here. “
A tempestuous online presence followed, but the two soon reconciled.
Unfortunately for Chris, marital bliss doesn’t disappear criminal charges.
Though the incident in question took place in February of last year, proceedings weren’t finalized until this past April 7th, when Ward plead guilty to inflicting corporal injury on a spouse/cohabitant, a felony.

In short, it consists of violence creating a “condition of the body, such as a wound, or external or internal injury, including, but not limited to, injury as a result of strangulation or suffocation, whether of a minor or serious nature, caused by a physical force.”)
Ward was sentenced to three years probation, 60 days in Jail, eight hours of community service, enrollment in a “Batterers’ Treatment Program,” restitution, and required to make a contribution to a Victim Witness Emergency Fund.
Assuming Ward went directly to jail, and served the entire 60 days (unlikely due to California penal system overcrowding), he was released in time to commit a probation violation on June 10, the exact details of which are unclear.
His lawyers met with a judge on June 15, and on the seventeenth he surrendered himself.
Ward currently resides at the Theo Lacy Facility, a maximum security jail in the city of Orange.
But possibly not for long.
Two days ago his wife posted “So much love to you my husband, so excited for this new chapter in our lives!” on her own instagram account. Likely guaranteeing we haven’t seen the end of the saga.

What’s most disturbing about this article is , Chris did not plead guilty to that felony charge.That is a complete lie ! He plead guilty to missdameanor battery and received 60 days and not for a violation .Mr Parker ; your story is the Definition of Slander ( defamation of character ). I was brought on to assist Chris on his mammoth case, and helped on subsequent dilemmas . This particular incident , Chris got the worst of it. This altercation with Michele pace happened at Big Helens bar and Chris was on the receiving end of a 4 man beat down by jar heads over the pool table , upon leaving he threw a log thru the front window. I paid for it! Chris and Michele were lit to the Gil’s when they got home and things went haywire . He knows he was in the wrong for putting his hands on his (wife) that’s why he plead guilty to misdemeanor battery, I could’ve got this case tossed , you should see the photos of his melon.He decided to take accountability for his actions, Will lost enterprises take responsibility for theirs on Chris who was a minor when they took him out of school and jetted him around the world for their benefit ?
Kids looking after kids… No surprises there are casualties at the end. ultimately you have to own your own demons to beat them. Good on you for sticking by your mates side though.

While his spousal abuse is fucked, Ward might be one of the last vestiges of back when surfing was an outlaw pastime and we had nutty derelicts running around everywhere. Mr. Ward is in county jail, not in prison. There is a huge difference. Furthermore, he violated probation, not parole (also a major difference). Theo Lacy is a county jail in Orange County. It’s across the street from a shopping mall. “Maximum security”? Hardly. Over sensationalize much?
