I went in to this expecting to speak with an intelligent woman. I was not expecting to speak with a woman in possession of a single minded drive toward her goals. Anastasia sells her persona well.
Over the course of an hour we touched on surfing big waves, her near total lack of a private life, stalkers, sexy sexy John John Florence, butt callouses, sexuality in women’s surfing, and the high high high price of fame.
I think this is my best podcast so far. I hope you all agree.

My god that was brutal. The combo of her grating mall rat voice and junior high diction, made it impossible to sit thru. You are a smart, funny guy rory. Surely you can come up with better guest than an ambitious butt model.
What about after mens and womens winners are decided for each event they have a Mens Winner Vs Womens Winner Heat. Nothing too serious for the first season, no points involved but it might open up some ideas and conversation regarding men and women surfing at the same level. I’d love to see Carissa Vs Joel.

You are getting better as a host Rory. She didn’t offer much as a guest for me. The only thing I learnt is that apparently instagram modeling is a lot of hard work. Very guarded generic responses despite your coercion. I think with the right guest your podcast will be very good.
