Management is not the worst I’ve experienced but absolutely mediocre at best. CEO is out of touch and so is the entire executive suite. Such a shame that HR is not able to help with the real problem, simply bad management and outdated leadership style.
Non-toxic and sustainable clothes, super toxic work culture and unsustainable work-life balance. Top-down “leadership” style driven by whatever hashtag social cause can make them money, instead of pushing for any meaningful change. Post a black square because it’s trending, and then fire non-white employees. Any challenge to the status quo is met with aggression and fragility. Incredibly toxic work environment with no clear paths to promotion. Inequitable pay with no transparency. Old-fashioned executives who like to think they’re progressive, but it’s the same boys club of every industry who prefer nepotism and blowing things up rather than fixing what’s right under their roof. High turnover and low pay, HR is a joke.

Inflation has been rising since November 2020, largely due to the reopening of the economy – which led to greater consumer demand, plus supply chain constraints. In June and again in July, the consumer price index or CPI rose by 5.3% on a year-over-year basis, marking the largest such increase since July 2008. You would have to go back to February 1991 to find a larger increase. Despite the Fed suggesting this round of inflation will be transitory, some experts believe otherwise. While we cannot know with certainty how high inflation will rise or how long it will persist, there are a few clues we can turn to. Perhaps the most telling is the producer price index or PPI.
PPI: Driver of CPI
The producer price index measures the change in prices for goods and services at the producer level. When a company has to pay more to produce their products, they will often pass these higher costs onto the consumer. Price changes at the consumer level are reflected in the consumer price index. The following graph shows the year-over-year percentage change in PPI and CPI from November 2010 through July 2021. In July 2021, prices at the producer level (PPI) rose 7.7% year-over-year while consumer prices (CPI) rose 5.3%. At the far right of the chart, notice how PPI (black line) has been rising faster than CPI (blue line) since January, suggesting higher prices at the consumer level are inevitable. Why has PPI spiked? It’s about supply and demand.
Supply Chain Constraints: The Catalyst Behind Rising PPI
Many companies are having difficulty finding the raw materials and labor necessary to manufacture their products. With fewer products being made, inventories are low, especially for a non-recessionary period. This reduction in supply, coupled with increased consumer demand, are major catalysts for the recent spike in inflation. But there is another significant cause, namely government spending.
Government Spending: Stimulus, Pork, or Catalyst for Inflation?
When the federal government passed the CARES Act in March 2020, there was a strong justification for doing so. For without it, the U.S. would have faced a very dark economic period, some even say a depression. Regardless, federal spending has created the largest government deficit in U.S. history. The following chart tells the story. In the most recent fiscal year ending September 30, 2020, the U.S. had a $3.129 trillion budget shortfall, more than twice the $1.4 trillion deficit during the 2008 financial crisis.
A year after the CARES Act, Congress passed, and President Biden signed, the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, with a hefty $1.9 trillion price tag. But that’s not the end of the spending if the Democratic majority has their way. On August 11, Senate Democrats approved a budget resolution, paving the way for an additional $3.5 trillion spending bill, just hours after passing a bipartisan $1.2 trillion infrastructure plan. 1. The water in Monterey Bay turned Caribbean turquoise from some kind of algae bloom. Not normal, at all. You could see it from space.
2. Reports of as many as 12 white sharks living off Cement Ship in the middle of the bay – one of them 18 feet and 2500 pounds. Normal. Not! Imagine if there were 12+ white sharks visible every day between Newport Pier and Huntingtong Pier. People would be freaking out. And maybe they are.

Breakthrough infections can still occur, but if only ten percent of vaccinated people get infected that means 90% are protected. Which is huge. It doesn’t take a statistician to see the benefits of being vaccinated.

A jab that requires a booster six months later is not a vaccine. Vaccines have always taken 10-15 years to reach the public. Without long term studies, it’s irresponsible to mandate the jab. I’ve had Covid, and there is no indication that I require the jab to prevent infection and/or transmission to others.
