Curt Morgan and Travis Rice, maker of the last two, are an artistic duo that may only truly be appreciated in decades. So far ahead of the curve. So far ahead of our time. Their relationship is as Paul and John, Jimmy and Robert, any truly destined married couple and their new film, coming on the heels of a break-up, is nothing short of tension-filled genius.

Jimmy and Robert deserve much better than being equated to Paul and John. Page and Plant toyed with the spotlight, being equally adept at working in the dark (magic in Jimmy’s case) where the likes of another Robert sold his soul to the devil for such hauntingly impactful talent, a place that just so happens to be a crossroad near Dockery PLANTation.
As for Paul and John, well, they fought over the spotlight. I think the best take on Paul and John is found in the deeply personal lyrics by George Harrison in “While My Guitar Gently Weeps”. Legendary song by a legendary man about two legendary egos.
I love the Paul vs John debate (Lennon for me) all most as much as arguing the degrees of rotation on a surfboard (it’s really more of a 3 than a 5) after six beers. Epic and unexpected guitar solo begins at @3:26

Dhani Harrison got to witness one of Prince’s best guitar solos from the same stage. Must have been moving for Dhani having Prince lay down brilliance like that on his Dad’s song.

Snowboarding is the shit. I probably have more snow days than surf days these days. This film looks nuts.
It sure has come a long way since the snurfers of my youth!! We used to cut off the nose ropes on them. Build carving courses in our slightly hilly backyard….man I love watching these guys, they are really insane.
