Last night, combat sport fans thrilled to UFC 300 which was billed by pugilistic experts as “very neat” and “very cool.” The bash took place in Paradise, Nevada with a who’s who taking in the action from plush velvet seats. Alex Pereira defeated Jamahal Hill via technical knockout in round 1 to close the evening, but the most thrilling card belonged to Max Holloway and Justin Gaethje which lasted 5 rounds and ended with a stunning Holloway win forcing Kelly Slater’s good friend Joe Rogan to make this face.
Wow.
Earlier in the day, the aforementioned fight devotees were thrilled to learn that Holloway’s wife is, in fact, renowned surf star Alessa Quizon. Moicano’s post-fight speech was the highlight of the night.
Holloway’s KO of Justin Gaethje wasn’t as surprising as Rogan played it up to be. They both agreed, knocking knuckle wraps center octagon, to swing away, throwing haymakers unguarded till the bell rang. With that approach one of them was going to catch a punch to the temple.
But, that speech by Moicano? Fuck, now that was a knockout!
