Riderless e-foil terrorizes lineup infuriating surfers online

"As if I couldn’t dis-like these contraptions enough already..."

Surfers came out in droves, on Instagram, to demand justice after a runaway e-foil was filmed terrorizing a lineup somewhere tropical (I think). The machine, sans rider, at first does some donuts while two floating onlookers look on. It then rights itself and does a cool air before going back to donuts. There are no visible surfers though maybe a bodyboarder or two but surfers online considered the bloodbath that might have been and grew increasingly furious.

Things started relatively light onewheelsouthafrica suggesting, “Even if they were racing, it’s an open area, not like closed off race track, so surely there needs to be some form of kill switch. If someone in the general vicinity get injured, that gives foiling a bad reputation and gives ammunition to people wanting to ban foiling from certain locations.”

Funkiture took it up a notch, pondering, “I never understood why this kind of machine was allowed it’s so dangerous.”

Pszantho had no time for musings and hammered, “This activity and sport should be FORBIDDEN!!!”

Craigdebeauv piled on, “As if I couldn’t dis-like these contraptions enough already. No soul. No place in a line up around regular swimmers surfers body boarders.”

Joostgolsteyn suggested, “Forbid efoils.”

Essentialfoamwerxhawaii took the opportunity to trash longboarders and sips, while the getting was good, tossing up, “Yes and all longboarders and sips should wear a leash.”
