Ok, who can tell us why the Wsl judges are hidden away. Why don’t they ‘man up’ like every other pro sports who uses judges and sit in full view and be ‘accountable’ for their scores. If Olympic judges can handle it-why can’t the wsl judges handle it? What are they hiding?

Sam I know you don’t like the idea of competition but if you have ever sat in the sun at a surfing contest from dawn till dusk you may end up with extreme sun burn , eye damage , dehydration and sunstroke . This is not Figure Skating in a controlled interior environment …. yet ? One can observe at least the nationality of each judge and every single score they note on the WSL website by touching the scores with a finger ?

Was 2015. But similar conditions. The finals ended up being surfed at Little Mali as the bank wasn’t there at the point.
Swell was so small they extended the waiting period that year. That doesn’t happen too often, if at all, in my memory. Costs WSL lots of money to do that.
Hey, thanks for the pic. First actual one I’ve seen. Sheds some light. So they are sequestered and hidden out of view of the public. I still find this strange as no other judged sport does this, in other sports the judges are in plain view which I believe makes them more accoutable.

Yeah but she’s a great competitor and a great person and she always makes me bring my A game and I’m just so stoked to make my heat and it’s just such a fun wave and I’m so stoked to get to have another heat out here with just one other person with these waves that are just like you would draw in your book at school as a kid.
