"Regarding aliens, the probability of law and chance probably states there is life on other planets, there's life out there in the universe somewhere."
Surfing’s broadest thinker also happens to be its winningest. Kelly Slater is known to the general public as the greatest to ever get his feet in the wax, standing shoulder to shoulder with Tiger Woods, Tom Brady, Muhammed Ali and Ricky Bobby. Surfers, though, know a deeper level beyond mere trophies and praise.
Slater is a deep and broad thinker, conquering such fields as medicine, where he knows more than many doctors, geography, plant medicines etc. and I assumed he would also have many theories on extraterrestrial life, especially in the wake of U.S. President Donald J. Trump’s recent ordering of the Pentagon to release its files on unidentified flying objects and ETs.
Taking to Truth Social, Trump declared, “Based on the tremendous interest shown, I will be directing the Secretary of War, and other relevant Departments and Agencies, to begin the process of identifying and releasing Government files related to alien and extraterrestrial life, unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), and unidentified flying objects (UFOs), and any and all other information connected to these highly complex, but extremely interesting and important, matters. GOD BLESS AMERICA!”
I, again, assumed Slater would be thrilled but stumbled upon a fairly recent conversation the 11x world champion had on the subject with Nathan Fletcher and found it somewhat meh. Slater said that his friends joked that he had sold his soul to the devil, which is why he won so many contests. He said that was impossible because he doesn’t believe in the devil though does believe in “good and bad, right and wrong.”
He continued, “Regarding aliens, the probability of law and chance probably states there is life on other planets, there’s life out there in the universe somewhere.”
He then segues into a story from Jack’s dad Jeff before declaring he likes Star Wars better than Christmas.
A rare hot take.
In any case, I thought Slater would be more into it.
Always throwing curves.

what’s this about? Is this a topic that you’re familiar with? I’m watching it and it seems very complex.
Kelly and Nathan LOVE to talk politics, gosh, their World views are learned and good.
Kelly sometimes enjoys just inviting a political figure down to the surf ranch… he’s shared waves down there with Robert Kennedy, Ivanka Trump and Tulsi Gabbard.
I think they just reach out to him when they want some rest from fixing the World! Like, “hey, Goat, can we grab a few waves!?”.
Kelly’s so generous with his time he’s like, “Sure guys, cmon down, I’ll hook you up!”.
Whaddaya Love most about staying true to the roots and spirit of surfing, Ro’?
You won’t read this anywhere else….
“Slater is a deep and broad thinker, conquering such fields as medicine, where he knows more than many doctors, geography, plant medicines etc. and I assumed he would also have many theories on extraterrestrial life”
Kelly is so multi skilled, he has to share his knowledge with the internet.
It’s the modern version of “publishing”
publish or perish
Send Steven Miller out to look for them so he can deport them from the universe.
