A mighty celebration is underway, this morning, amongst well-to-do Australians both abroad and in their native down under. Chilled Paul Laurent Brut bottles being rushed from the basements and popped. Pink salmon caviars brought out on pewter trays. Top hats doffed as they pass each other in the street, monocles briefly removed to share happy winks.

Amazing value and note Outback the only chain using lobster instead of much cheaper shrimp.
Over to you, dear reader. Where do you rank surf & turf amongst your favorite meal pairings? I’ll be honest, and it might simply be a product of my low-born rank, but I don’t find the steak complimentary to the lobster, or shrimp, I suppose, and vice versa. I like my steak with a potato and my lobster served on a buttery roll.
