A surfer from North Carolina has divided the internet after he got all het up at a pro contest and beat hell out of his surfboard, echoes of the great Freddy Pattachia Jnr’s work at Snapper many years distant.
Owen Moss, who is twenty two, is one of the better surfers on the US east coast. Last year he made history, of sorts, by sweeping the entire US East Coast Qualifying Series trilogy. A sharp talent.
In poor waves at Huntington Beach recently, Owen expressed his frustration at the weak little reforms by belting his board, with fist and heel, before tearing off his jersey and hurling it away.

A story is always more entertaining when we can personally relate to it. Hence why slater always gives a good story when he’s eulogising someone.
This article would have been a fun topic, a surfer / athlete losing their rag, had it been published at some other different time. Especially with all the instacommenters getting in on the fun. But alas it got buried in the Slattery.
