Amira Hasib, who goes by the handle thelittleloudlady on Instagram, turned to the platform, hours ago, to deliver a Daedalian direct-to-camera argument of why men should not be allowed to surf. First, she sets the scene. She was out on what must have been a longer board when a set broke outside and washed through. She declares that she, of course, knows the rules and surfers must either duck dive or turtle roll boards.
Well, as sometimes happens, the board was pulled from her hands, as she turtled, and bonked into the board of another gentleman. When she surfaced she was about to ask if he was ok when he opened his mouth and chastised for for failing to control her board.
The nerve.
She continued that this sort of aggressive behavior happens far too often and always by men. If women bonk boards, they ask after each other’s health first. Men just get angry and, therefore, should not be allowed to surf.
Support was near universal.
“I agreed without hearing the reason.”
