Will Slater rally to defense?
The world’s greatest surfer, in the midst of a scintillating potential love triangle between Gisele Bündchen and her estranged husband Tom Brady, is no stranger to fame. Aside from the aforementioned Brazilian supermodel, Slater has dated Pamela Anderson, pals around with ex-United States President Barack Obama, is on a first-name basis with race car driver Lewis Hamilton etc. but a real favorite of his notable pals is Bill Murray.
The iconic comedian has delighted for years, from Saturday Night Live to Caddyshack to The Life Aquatic, though was just viciously accused by actor Seth Green of abuse who told Variety:
When I was nine years old, I did a spot on ‘Saturday Night Live’ when Mary Gross was one of the on-the-scene anchor people for the news, and she did a whole thing about what kids think about the Christmas holiday,” Green said, adding that he killed time backstage by watching television. Murray was the host of that particular “SNL” episode.
“[Murray] saw me sitting on the arm of this chair and made a big fuss about me being in his seat,” Green said. “And I was like, ‘That is absurd. I am sitting on the arm of this couch. There are several lengths of this sofa. Kindly eff off.’ And he was like, ‘That’s my chair.’”
Although Green’s mom suggested that her son move so that Murray could sit wherever he wanted, Green remained steadfast and refused to give up the seat. The comedian said, “Are you this much of a jerk? This rude to tell a nine year old to get out of your chair. What is this power play?”
“He picked me up by my ankles,” Green said. “Held me upside down…He dangled me over a trash can and he was like, ‘The trash goes in the trash can.’ And I was screaming, and I swung my arms, flailed wildly, full contact with his balls. He dropped me in the trash can, the trash can falls over. I was horrified. I ran away, hid under the table in my dressing room and just cried.”
Hmmmmm.
To be honest, I’m totally with Murray on this one. It seems like Green was being annoying and very much deserved some hazing. More importantly, though, do you think Kelly Slater will rush to the defense of his friend or just let the tabloids tear him up?

Bill Murray has long held the notoriety of bot being yo “nicest guy”, but nonetheless, Green was obviously disrespectful and rude and deserved a a well-earned spanking.

I remember Seth Green as coming off (through camera) as HIGHLY ANNOYING as a child actor so I can imagine him off camera as being worse.
This hardly sounds like abuse and actually sounds VERY big brother like.

Seth Green was known as ANNOYING until he created Robot Chicken and staring in voice over work. (So maybe he still is!)

There is one sure way to get your name in the news and that’s to latch on and be an additional accuser of a high profile person. Isn’t this perfect for Seth Green? A non-sexual accusation that happened so many years back that it’s impossible to verify. Why are we first hearing about it now? Why not then, at the time of the incident? Why didn’t the mother speak out? Bill Murray is a movie star, he’s not mafioso! You report it so no other child will get Murray’s anger put upon them. You do it to teach your child to not accept things like this to happen to them in silence. What if were sexual? Silence? How about when the kid grows up and thinks it’s normal to put kids in trash cans? Your silence perpetuates bad behavior to continue, from generation to generation. Seth Green is off the hook, he can always say that he was nine years old and his memory might not be accurate. Who can truly swear about an incident that occurred when they were nine and that was thirty years ago? The whole thing doesn’t sit well with with me. Doesn’t pass the smell test, so to speak.

Yes, but i wanted to get MY NAME on to the internet 🤔 LOL – Actually, i wanted to make the point that when children are ‘actually’ molested (Defined here as: a child being touched by a random adult without permission of the kid’s guardian or the kid himself, in certain situations) then it’s imperative to make it known to others so as to prevent it from:
(i) happening to another innocent child
-or-
(ii) the child accepting submitting, leading to submissive behavior in the child’s life
-or-
(i i i) the child mirroring bad behavior and adopting that as his modus operandi.
Most of these people seem to just be lying in wait for stories like these so they can clutch pearls and virtue signal. If this had happened to my best friend, I still wouldn’t lose any sleep over it and the 2nd half of Stripes would still suck.
