Comparing the WSL to F-1? A simple solution for the future growth and success for all in the surfing industry is the following.
Surfers can choose to ride a fish (twin fin) with an Apple Watch to clock their speed. Display the MPH/KM results onscreen with a similar F-1 font/different screen placement. #fishesgofastest
Fastest speed on wave. Full stop. No pumping or wiggling and fuck all that turning and jumping and shit. Competitors must hold as still a stance as possible while mantaining a straight line along the wave. Stylish interpretations of a pose are allowed but any body movement not directly related to keeping balance will disqualify ride.
