"Definitely feeling some post-traumatic sort of feelings going on."
A pretty good story comin’ out of Australia, currently held hostage by a cabal of nassy bulls and Whites, this morn after a mammy surfer almost filmed her own death in the jaws of a White on the NSW South Coast.
School teacher Riss Lasair, who has a YouTube channel with her partner Christie called Waxhead Women where she films herself surfing by mounting an iPhone on a tripod and pressing go, got some blurry vision of the moment a shark, probs a Great White, like, what else, giving her a Mick Fanning at J-Bay moment.
The encounter or incident, as they call ’em, happened near the real popular beachie Bendalong, a couple of hours south of Sydney, and only thirty clicks from the noted Great White breeding ground Sussex Inlet. Also home to Ocean and Earth! Hello Brian and Toby Cregan!
Anyway, Riss reports,
“I’m pretty rattled to be honest. It’s been a couple of days since I’ve been in the water. Definitely feeling some post-traumatic sort of feelings going on. I was sitting out there and all of a sudden I felt this bang and then a small one straight after and I was like oh god, okay. And normally when you get bumped on a surfboard, the shark will come back and it’ll bite you or attack you.
“I started yelling out because I knew the guys were on the beach and they saw me and they started moving. down towards me and I just paddled as quickly but as calmly as I could in just waiting for something to happen. It was a really traumatic horrible experience but I was very grateful to get in unscathed and uninjured.”
Three years earlier, wife Christie got footage of a Great White swinging by for a whiff although no bump nor bite.
Proof, I think, of the Great White’s essentially benevolent nature.
Yes? Or hard no?

The desire for maybes death by shark are reaching the ultimate clicks moment. The path of surfing going for it in a different way in this mad mad world. I kind of get it.
Let’s be real here, that shark looks to be about 6′, not some big man (or lesbian) eater.
And let’s be real again, “their” Youchoob would be far more popular if it was called Waxed Snatch, or something to that effect.
I think it would be far more popular if it never existed in the first place.
Popularity would have gone through the roof if she had actually been attacked (and eaten).
Australian sharks are LGBTIQCAPGNGFNBA aware – exempt from attacks.

And you?
I’ll take one of each.
here’s one for ya….there are approx 5-10 shark fatalities globally each year where zero / 0 bodies are full eaten….which shows we are not on their menu…and it’s accidental attacks/bites are just that!
I’m still holding to the reasoning that it’s because we save one another, Brutes. If you were by yourself, or all your buddies were born with flippers for hands/arms, there’d be maybe a leash string and bootie left.
We are all in the together brothers and sisters and tomorrow is never promised.
Xox
I am buying my kids dirt bikes. Its safer.
I am gonna buy that chick a comb.
Beautiful part of the world there.
maybe lesbians are protected by a higher power, some sort of patron saint.
Mick Fanning a lesbian?
maybe he is the patron saint of lesbians?
Pretty sure that’s Sterling Spencer—have you seen the flute?
Nope. Enlighten us Bogs.
