But are you bored of, excited by, infuriated with the lightning rod actress-spokeswoman Sydney Sweeney at this point in 2026? The buxom 29-year-old recently made controversy, once again, in a video spot for a prediction market application by placing various sporting equipment over the pieces of her nude body while asking, “Think you know sports? Prove it.”
The reaction, predictably, predictable. Those on the left excoriated Sweeney for playing into stereotypes while completely diminishing the feats of real sportswomen. Those on the right defended Sweeney, declaring that “feminists are furious at her skin.”
All fairly dull until, that is, surfing’s most inspirational story Bethany Hamilton waded in. The 36-year-old mother of four usually presents right, but blew shade Sweeney’s way in a devastating Instagram takedown.
