Most here, I’d imagine, came up surfing the tough way. Namely, using our own noodle arms to paddle into waves. Oh, there are certainly some lucky ones with mothers or fathers who loved them enough, and also surfed, to push them into waves, knowing the proper force, where to angle the board etc. thereby insuring a smooth transition and easy pop up and, thus, accelerating the learning curve but most, again, likely either missed much, went over the falls often, otherwise flailed.
Celebrities and superstar athletes are not like us, though, the latest evidence coming to us from the ocean floor itself.
As it happens, US National Team swimmer Patrick Sammon was out for a swim when he discovered a GoPro. Being talented, he was able to dive down and retrieve, later posting the footage to Instagram with the caption “Found GoPro at bottom of ocean and saw someone familiar.”
That “someone” just so happened to be former Boston Celtic, current Philadelphia 76er superstar Jaylen Brown.
The particular bottom-of-ocean stretch appeared to be off the North Shore’s famed Turtle Bay wherein Ian “Kanga” Cairns and other Australians sheltered whilst being looked for by Eddie Rothman and crew.
All very cool but if your GoPro happened to be discovered, what might the public find in the footage?
POV barrels or… something else?
