Waking up and turning on the news, a big pile of rubble and smoke and dust, all silent, then they showed the replays.
Still dark, but I grabbed my board and went to have a surf because it’s the one freedom I really value.
Got some head high plus perfect reef runner rights with one guy out, a manager at a surf shop I used to work for, who paddled out for the same reason I did.

Larry Silverstein who had the lease on the twin towers always worked from his office located in one of the buildings. Never missed work…but he was out that day. Chew on that for awhile. I find it interesting he took out an insurance policy on the Twin Tower complex in July of 2001…6 weeks prior ?…you decide. I feel the whole Muslim – Israeli conflict is a diversion.
