Well it appears as if you guys were just as lazy as the people who yell “Kobe” as they shoot a can at a bucket then clank it off the side and don’t pick it up cause I’m pretty sure Jordy rimmed outta that basket otherwise you wouldn’t of cut away so quick. Guess its not as easy shooting trash baskets as ya thought eh? Speaking off trash, you probably shoulda canned that blatant “The Big Short” rip on the editing room floor. Or placed in the editing room waste bin at least.

Same idiots buying ‘enviro friendly clothing’ are the one’s buying everything, always; as if buying spandex made from a bit of recycled plastic absolves them of the mountains of clothing they give/throw away every time fads change.

Next time I see some dickhead throw trash on the beach I’ll explain to the chap that Jordy’s rubbish surfing can make it into a floating rubbish bin and so should his.
If Jordy really wants to do something for the environment, how about stop flying in jet planes 100 times more than the average human? Just from the Dream Tour circuit, all of these pro surfers have individual carbon footprints the size of entire towns. Not to mention their employer flies maybe 100 support people non-stop around the planet, and a full tv studio, and, for fucksake, their own jet skis that never seem to stop running.
Now add in the constant jetting off for “strike missions.”
And now add in the, what, 100 boards per annum? Year in year out these guys disposably churn through shipping containers of gnarly plastics.
And then add as sprinkles on top of that environmental disaster sundae the normal consumer habits of a wealthy first world person.
Point is, WSL professional surfers would probably be better environmental citizens if they quit competitive wave play and joined the board of Dow Chemical. The fact that any of them have anything to say to any of us about environmental protection is the height of greenwashing.
but, like.. they all get free hurley x whoever water canteens and they promote picking up 2 pieces of trash during contests.

The ones Jordy’s been surfing lately look pretty trash for sure.
They should implement the trash can air at the Rio de Janeiro Sewage-Pipe Masters this year.
