From the change-of-heart Dept: Once virulently anti-weed, The Inertia embraces marijuana tampons!

A wonderful example of coming together this holiday season.

We live in entrenched times. Ridiculously partisan times where the left and the right and the far left and the far right refuse to even look at each other, much less have meaningful conversations. Sociologists point to many potential reasons for our current state. We can all curate our media intake, for example. Only allowing opinions that align directly with our own into our various spheres.

So it was with much joy when I learned, this morning, that Venice-adjacent’s favorite whitewater rafting lifestyle blog The Inertia had shed a previously entrenched position and embraced marijuana!

If you have been following along with us for a few years then you know that The Inertia stuck its stake in reefer madness-style “weed is bad for you!” out of the gate. Who could forget The Inertia vs. Marijuana Blood Feud wherein The Inertia warned fellow mountain goers about the very real dangers of marijuana addiction?

Here is a little sample:

Yep, it ain’t all rainbows when it comes to reefer. There’s that little thing called addiction. And whether it’s mental or physical, addiction is very much a reality in the legalization movement. Dr. Samuel Ball, the CEO of the National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse, sat down with Tech Insider to discuss the realities of today’s manufactured marijuana and its dangerous potency. Aside from the addictive mental properties in the plant, there’s also the damage it does to the lungs when smoked, which scientists still don’t know much about. Something to think about.

Well, warning folk off the reefer rainbows is in the past, apparently, for just today The Inertia teamed up with a company that makes what seem to be marijuana tampons and let us go straight into their Instagram feed for more!

theinertiaThe holiday gift guide continues if you’re still on the prowl for goodies: The holiday get together kit by @dosist is a relaxing gift to bring home for the holidays if you’re living in a cannabis-friendly area like California.

I’m not a woman, unfortunately, and don’t know if I would like a marijuana tampon BUT don’t want that to take away from The Inertia’s 180 degree pivot from wild-eye’d, virulently anti-weed to…. very progressive. So much gorgeous spin that I have no doubt Chris Cote would call it a 540.

May we all be more like The Inertia this holiday season.

Fuck Scott I loved that opiated Thai floating around San Diego in the early 1980’s. As a 15 year-old some random kids from Escondido smoked me out on it on the cliff above Tower 7. The next thing I remember is crawling across the dance floor at Club Zoo (all ages post-punk dance club in Pizza’s Port’s Solana Beach location just prior) to beg the concessions guy for a glass of water. And then standing in my parents’ garage chatting intensely with a large cardboard storage box. Not at all clear on how I transitioned between those locations, teleportation seems probable.

In a parallel universe across the Pacific at the same time a 15 year old version of myself was opening the doors of total loss of perception with gold top mushrooms and The Angels ( Who were playing a gig at the Scotts Head Bowling Club ) . Fell back to earth and decided that Tooheys Old would be my preferred molecular companion on this extended sufing trip of life .

Yes, quite hard to imagine how that design made it past the investors or board or whatever

Had a tampon up my nose for a bus ride in Peru one time. A lovely lady spared me another t shirt. Wasn’t a bleed from too much local produce unfortunately.

Did the sales point that marijuana tampons cause v munchies satiated only by feverish paced consumption of “junk” food cross a red-line?

I surf the office
I carve through the morning commute
Pull aerials in my office
Get barrelled in my secretary
My office has a boardroom
I surf my midlife crisis
I’d surf a marijuana tampon in my bum because its legal
Im ALL IN

Those little mormons from L’inertia, from Venezia, Italy… ops!… sorry…California, US…
Maybe… they are using it in others ways… as suppositories…
Maybe…

Family Planning ? Up the bum no babies ……A very effective way to reduce the carbon footprint ? Let’s hope that the laws of physics apply to modern surfing culture and that disorder , entropy and chaos will overcome inertia ?

But L’inertia… all these mormons are flat earthers, they don’t believe in laws of physics, entropy or in the chaos theory.
Only the Laws Of God!
And for the bum… we need block the abusive percentage of metane over Venezia…
Oh and remember, according to his laws, they only have sex after wedding!!
So… really sticks for the bum!
