Australian miner Russell Harris and his Indonesian gal Keylla got on a bird in Bali with three others for a scenic flight one year back and the dang thing got tangled in a kite string and plunged one thousand feet into Uluwatu. The couple were promised to have their medical bills covered by the chopper’s operator, Bali Heli Tour, but when they got stiffed, the pair went to the press.
“Since the accident, I can’t work, I can’t even take care of my kids,” Keylla told 9News. “So these people need to know that our life is totally messed up.”
Russ filmed the crash on his phone, telling the press:
“I’m upside down. I cannot release myself. I cannot get out. I’m trying for all my life because all I’m looking at is this fluid dripping in front of me,” he said. “I’m thinking, “I’ve survived before, but now I’m about to die in a fireball’.”
