While Santa Barbara area surfers had all eyes and attention on Leadbetter beach, over the weekend, where a man with a fishing spear and a man with a taser engaged in mortal combat, San Clemente adjacent surfers were worried about different weaponry. Namely, the butchering propellers of a motorboat.
On Friday afternoon, surfers in the lineup at Lower Trestles had to paddle for their lives as the aforementioned vessel sped right through their midst. The whole mess was caught on Surfline, Brian Weber telling the site that it was “amazing that no one died.
Jo Biswas, a spokesperson for California State Parks, told SF Gate, “California State Parks Peace Officers identified and cited the boater for reckless operation of a vessel following the incident at San Onofre State Beach on Friday. We are thankful no one was injured and remain committed to protecting the safety of all visitors on the water and along our coast.”
The captain has remained unidentified, though possible charges might be brought by the district attorney.
Now, if there was going to be a battle royale between fishing spear, taser and outboard engine, who do you think would come out on top? The propellers would do much damage but difficult to wield. I think I’d still take the fishing spear.

Not sure now how much of the bible you know….but when Jesus met with Nicodemus…Jesus explained that there was new covenant between God and his people……and that you had to born again into the new covenant which came from Christ…..so Christians were reborn again……this is basic Christian Theology……
