But let us travel to Brazil’s south where the Circuito Banco do Brasil de Surfe – Imbituba is currently underway. Surf fans are very excited to see professional surf hopefuls battle it out for a chance to someday shine on the Championship Tour. They are equally excited to see former stars who will participate in a special “ex-pro surfer heat.” Renan Rocha, Jacqueline Silva, Piu Pereira, Fabio Carvalho and Michell Peninha will each enjoy 45 minutes in the virtually empty lineup exchanging waves.
Familiar names, each, except Michell Peninha. Which era did he surf professionally again? Well, a source on the ground has revealed never and is, in fact, the mayor of the town.

Honestly I think you got that one wrong. Being a spectator with no stake in the game in a fun new country would be epic. Enjoying the sights and sounds with a smile on your face is sure to make you many friends and it doesn’t matter who you cheer for since they are all Brazilians competing, just cheer along with the crowd. Brazilians are cool and live a colorful life.
