Ten days ago, conservative commentator Charlie Kirk, best known for his maddeningly calm on-campus debates and generally polite mannner, was killed with a bullet served, allegedly I suppose, by the lover of a man who wished that he was a woman.
Charlie Kirk, a Christian, wasn’t into trannies, his loss, and I suspect if he ever saw the ballet-like lines of transgender surf queen Sasha Jane he would change his tune, although he did, prophetically, link militant trans-ideology to violence and extremism.
Anyway, Kirk, a daddy of two and only thirty-one, was killed in front of his wife and kids and ever since there’s been a concerted effort to paint Kirk, as the Sydney Morning Herald described him in a recent op-ed, as a “demon.”
I ain’t a Christian, I’ve visited abortionists more than should be necessary and have been taken, several dozen times, to the gates of heaven by gender indeterminate queens of the night, she-devils, etcetera, and therefore have little in common with Charlie Kirk.
But.
The Charlie Kirk being painted by journalists who’d never heard of Charlie Kirk before September 10 as a hate-spewing monster is further evidence, as if further evidence was necessary, of the inability of the press to accept any opinion, apart from their own, as valid.
Now, what to make of this. Charlie Kirk was rightly contemptuous of the Biden government’s response to the Maui fires, letting the Lahaina and its inhabitants disappear in flames.
He also gave hell to what he said were local traditions that both helped cause the fires and then hamper rescue efforts.

“We have a difficult time on Maui and other rural areas getting enough water for houses, for our people, for any response,” Green added. “But it’s important we start being honest. There are currently people still fighting in our state giving us water access to fight and prepare for fires even as more storms arise.”
