Surf snark enthusiasts terrified of losing safe spaces after Trump cancels 1st amendment

The end of an era.

It had been an extraordinary decade plus for surf snark enthusiasts. Bumper years. So many places to poke fun of professional surfers and professional surfing. Podcasts, websites, social media accounts even face to face in the Seaside Market parking lot. None immune, not billionaire trust funders nor 11x world champions nor curmudgeonly longer boarders nor San Clemente stars with a taste for that prom life.

Well, it’s all over now, or likely, the the official cancellation of the 1st amendment of the United States Constitution which, until yesterday, protected free speech.

The Trump administration, currently in power, decided to do away with the pesky business by getting the perennially unfunny Jimmy Kimmel booted from the airwaves for saying something probably untrue about rightwing firebrand Charlie Kirk’s murderer.

“You know where else is perennially unfunny and often probably untrue?” a worried surf snark enthusiast, who preferred to remain anonymous for obvious reasons, asked when reached for comment. “Yeah. BeachGrit.

It is only a matter of time before a billionaire trust funder, 11x world champion, curmudgeonly longer boarder or San Clemente slow dancer accesses the Oval Office and gets Trump to come down on ultra-hard surf candy plus even super-gummy surf candy.

Back to the days where we all hail Micktory as one.

Fun while it lasted.
