Feelings of consternation and discomfort are spreading around the globe, this morning, after Australia’s Jacob Wilcox and Brazil’s Yago Dora made peace instead of closing each other’s Straights of Hormuz. Conflict has become our baseline, so the aforementioned unchill emotions (consternation and discomfort) make much sense. It was expected that Dora’s camp would wish death on Wilcox and Wilcox’s camp would do something sarcastic after the two surfers nearly came to shoves in Margaret River’s car park. The reason for rage, a non-called potential interference in the opening round head between the two wherein last year’s champion defeated the local boy.
A Stab staffer was there, observing, and we might have footage of the almost-pushes but he was told to delete it and did.
Surf fans, anyhow, awaited death and sarcasm but were served peace instead.
Taking to social media, Dora penned:

Yesterday, things got unnecessarily out of hand, we thought it through, and today Jacob, my team, and I decided to get together to talk things through and sort things out. Jacob is a formidable competitor and a great person; I wish him the best of luck in his Challenger Series campaign this year!
So there we go. I guess Wilcox needing no security detail when the Challenger Series hits Rio de Janeiro this coming October.

Ok mate this a summary of the quickly deleted article on Stab by their writer Tom De Souza, who is Strayan and no relation of Adriano. Quickly though I want to say the funniest thing about this incident is that everyone, including the surfers knew it was an interference but the judges didn’t even give it hahahahaha.
So according to Tom when they reached the top of the stairs Jacob told Yago that “Someone will be coming to pay you a visit later”. Yago’s coach then told him he better watch out in Brazil, or words to those effect. Tom was then in the media area when a call went out for all security to quickly head to the changing rooms so he followed along. Allegedly both parties were fronting up but security got in between them before any punches were thrown. After a good while both groups then exited the changing rooms and headed for the carpark with Tom following on.
Jacob and his crew, which included boxer Danny Green were still riled up and having a go at Yago and his crew as they were loading up their cars so Tom started filming on his phone. Danny Green saw this and staunchly told Tom to delete the film, which Tom sensibly did considering it was a visibly fired up pro boxer telling him to do it hahaha. Yago and his crew then drove off into the night and then here we are now with it all being sweetness and light again. Now lets get this fucking comp going again yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeew
