But did you know that Oompa-Loompas hail from Loompaland? We all should have as Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory made it very specific and certainly recall the orange-tinted shorter people dancing and singing throughout the eponymous film Charlie and the Chocolate Factory but where they actually came from, in the film, was given short shrift.
Loompaland, though, we learn from the book. “Nothing but thick jungles infested by the most dangerous beasts in the world – hornswogglers and snozzwangers and those terrible wicked whangdoodles.”
So you can certainly imagine the shivers of desire running through the whole of that country with the just released image of Oompa-Loompa-adjacent Mark Occhilupo “standing in a round one” from a recent test session at the Yeppoon, Australia research and development facility.

I did actually listen to all the podcasts on Dirty water around pools.
The problem with Surflakes and why broke maybe is unless you can dampen the water to smooth it out, the plunger is going to be coming down on water that is already disturbed no? That cant be good as an uneven surface going to effect the plunger arm?
So the “period” could be actually longer than Kelly’s if they allow to flatten before the plunger drops again.

Possibly Devolution ? 40 years ago , a 14 year old Occy , god love him , was surfing behind the pools , magnificently, at Cronulla ( the one that Tyler Wright ended up in a Boardriders Battle Final ), and now , he is surfing in a pool ….. In the past , surfers often learned , except for Laird of course , to swim in a pool , before venturing out of the pool into the ocean .
Most of the people I grew up with learned to swim in the ocean. I think you guys have more public swimming pools than we do
Hi CK ….. we had a pool in our backyard , a pool at primary school and 4 ocean pools cut into rock , cleaned by the tides at the beach . All played second fiddle to the Ocean .
We had no school pool or ocean pools, you guys are lucky that your culture puts so much emphasis on the importance of being able to swim.
It’s a big island , with perhaps 90% or more of the population living less than an hour from the ocean , so it made sense to teach people how to swim .
I grew up and a relatively small island where you are never more than a few miles from the ocean, but the community didn’t think it was important some how. Fortunately my father was an ocean life guard and he thought it was important

The term ‘standing’ seems to be becoming as plastic and malleable as the word ‘unique’.
In previous times, Mr Occhilupo’s stance is what most rational humans might have called ‘squatting’. Now it would appear with the Post-Truth Era, that this nocean is being shilled as producing curling ponce-tubes approaching the ‘howling’ mark.
