Today, Hawaii, just across the Pacific, is demanding that customers of bars, restaurants, gyms etc. show either proof of vaccination or negative Covid test in order to enter.
Beginning Sept. 13, customers wishing to enter Oahu restaurants, bars, gyms and other establishments will need to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test.
The city’s Safe Access Oahu program will remain in effect for 60 days.
And the rules will be mandatory for all businesses covered by a new emergency order.
Honolulu Mayor Rick Blangiardi announced the program Monday amid an alarming surge in new COVID cases in Hawaii that’s threatening to overwhelm Hawaii’s health care system.
Inspirational surfer Bethany Hamilton, not pleased, took to Instagram to declare:

Interesting graph and map. A few weeks ago, someone brought up the lack of COVID impact on Africa as a whole. I did some research and found out that there were a combination of factors that combined to reduce the potential for impact. Among the reasons were; experience with highly infectious diseases and responses to them; Trained and trusted local medical teams of doctors and nurses that were well known in the communities they worked; Quickly shutting down borders and restricting travel both within countries and incoming from overseas.
In effect, because Africa as a continent had a population that was better prepared for a pandemic than any more developed states.
The use of Ivermectin in the more central areas where more cattle are farmed makes sense, but the map doesn’t say how it is used. Raising the question, is it a non-causal relationship?
Given that the pushing of Ivermectin in the US started with a group of 3 doctors (FLCCC), who so far, have only given anecdotal evidence and won’t participate in blind tests which would confirm their science, it’s a bit of a tricky question. Also given that the trials of Ivermectin that have gone forward, while showing that it can have a positive impact on the virus for humans require doses so high that there is an extremely high accompanying risk of liver damage and/or liver cancer. Is the cure worse than the disease?
