Israel is “a deviant grotesque charade that’s fundamentally racist and segregated”
One of the more ironic things of Israel’s latest existential war, see War of Independence (1948), its sassy sequel The Six-Day War (1967) and the almost tragedy of the Yom Kippur War (1973), is the universal support of surfing’s progressives, the queers, the gender fluid, the feminists and so on.
Shortly after Hamas gunmen, some carrying ISIS flags, put bullets into hundreds of unarmed civilians in the Israeli towns bordering Gaza, including kids and their pets, and raped the hell out of the cute festival gals before executing ‘em, our own surf feminist and trans-in-sports-activist Lucy Small posted a series of stories about the conflict.
These included a reel from Al Jazeera showing Hamas terrorists in paragliders landing in Israel and about to murder hundreds with the caption, “Palestinians in Gaza made history as they escaped the world’s largest prison”.
Over at gay-trans-activists Surf Equity, whom we last saw on these pages when they slammed Pipe Queen Moana Jones Wong for wrong-think, pro-Palestinian clips are stacked, with short shrift given to the Jewish souls disappeared on October 7.
Whatever your view of the Jewish state, men with machine guns executing boys and girls, men and women, the old, the infirm…the gay… would warrant at least one post, no?
The surfing writer Andy Saint Onge has taken it one step further, however.
The Hawaii-based surfer posted a swastika in a Star of David alongside a screed apparently justifying the October 7 massacre.
“The Palestinian response, however militant, is altogether rational — not ‘terrorism’ but armed resistance,” he writes. “Furthermore, Israel’s experiment in so-called ‘Jewish democracy’ has failed miserably. It began with (and was sustained by) theft and brutal apartheid and has finally degenerated into genocide subsidized by the United States — which is complicit (and rightly condemned) for its aid and abetting mass murder.”
Again, surprising the support rallying behind the Islamofascists, the Jews left to the guns, the fires, alone, again.

Use one of the best armies and intelligence in the world to try and liberate their hostages and neutralize Hamas, instead of using the horrendous attack as an excuse to deliberately bomb the crap out of civilians (including their own people being held hostage). They have literally said it out loud that their goal is to get rid of Palestinians. Israel: “Go south if you don’t wanna die.” Then proceeds to bomb the south as well. Why are they bombing the West Bank? Do you not see it? The families of the hostages themselves are pissed because they strongly believe that their loved ones are not the priority here. Bibi is an absolute disgrace.
This is an incredibly roundabout and dishonest way of saying that you believe the killing, rape, and kidnapping of Israeli citizens on October 7 was justified and good.
I never said that. I am merely illustrating that these things don’t happen in a vacuum and that Palestinians have been consistently brutalized way before Hamas. October 7 was an act of terrorism and is not excusable, but murdering thousands of civilians (whose land you appropriated) as a response to that is equally disgusting and it is also a war crime. It is, literally, terrorism as well. This will only further radicalize both sides. The majority of Palestinian people weren’t even born when Hamas took power, yet they are getting killed for it.

I hate the Israeli occupation. What’s going on with settlements in the west bank is horrible and contributed to Oct 7 in itself.
But we need to be clear and honest what the individual sides represent here. The demonstrations happening in the US are not pro Palestine. They are pro Hamas. When the sides are “kill all the jews worldwide” vs “kill 10’s of thousands of Palestinians” there’s a side that sucks a lot less.
Before I thought people just didn’t understand this but after seeing the post Oct 7 protests and requests for ceasefire I thought it was pretty much out in the open now.

He servers in the Israeli army decades ago, but has since become a champion for the Palestinian cause. He claims what is taking place now is genocide. His book ‘the ethnic cleansing of Palestine’ is a fascinating read.

So what does an ideal solution to the Israel Palestine conflict look like?
The ultimate bottom line is that Israeli and Palestinian elites both benefit from the conflict. It allows Israel to justify the settlements and harsh reprisals while Palestinian elites enrich themselves off the backs of the poorest areas in the world while the bad economy ensures a fresh supply of bitter young men’s blood to feed their political and global ambitions.
Any ideal solution will take a generation of peace before it can even be considered. Think something like Croatia vs Serbia or northern ireland.
Of course there will be hot heads stirring up trouble but with long enough peace, the next gen (both israeli and palestinians) will just ignore them as crazy old fools.
