His "back surgery changed everything for him and he went absolutely crazy."
In one of the wilder descents into anarchy, the same leftists who celebrated the mass murder of Jews last year, have lauded the alleged killer of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, tech whiz Luigi Mangione.
Anthony Zenkus, a lecturer at Columbia University, tweeted about the annual number of deaths due to lack of healthcare, implicitly linking Thompson’s role at UnitedHealthcare to these stats.
Others, hissing hate, wrote that Thompson’s death was poetic justice for the harm his company had caused.
Honolulu-based Luigi Mangione, who is twenty six, was scooped up by cops at a McDonalds in Pennsylvania and found with a gun without serial numbers and that uses 9mm bullets – the same sized slugs found in Thompson’s body, a silencer, fake IDs, a passport and a two-and-a-half page manifesto.
There were claims Luigi Mangione had a grudge against health insurers after the deaths of his grandmother in 2013 and 2017 but a bombshell claim, just posted on X and finding its way here after sharp-eyed BeachGrit commenter JohnsKnees linked it below the line, says it was a surfing injury that drove Luigi Mangione to kill Bryan Thompson.
Barstool Sports writer Jack Mac posted,
Spoke with a source that had a lot of friends that went to high school with Luigi Mangione.
What keeps coming up is a back surgery that “changed everything” for him and he went “absolutely crazy.”
Checks out with his GoodReads history and the X-Ray in his header.
Back injury happened when he was surfing in Hawaii.
Surgery didn’t go great.

Important question: you ever been driven to kill cause of surfing? I have, several thousand times, although usually myself.
