Myrtle Beach Woman Detained Over Thong Bikini in Ongoing Battle Over Public Decency

A tattooed, thong-slinging gal has been cuffed and detained by Myrtle Beach cops after her beach outfit was deemed “too revealing”.

In a video on the excellent Elon Musk-owned X, formerly Twitter, which was owned by Jack Dorsey a man who once publicly acknowledged BeachGrit before he sold up , we see the gal, whose name appears to be Samantha Panda, being handcuffed and questioned by cops.

The interaction escalates as she, rightly in this instance I believe although I usually advise quiet cooperation, questions the legality of their actions and the definition of indecency. She argues, again, correctly, that her bikini did not expose her sex nest or honey hole and that she was on a public beach.

When the man filming the encounter is invited to the police car to see the law as it is written he is told, “It shall be unlawful for any person to appear nude on any beach or in view of the public.” 

“Nobody is nude!” he says. 

“I’m not nude,” says the gal.

“You’re in a thong!” says the cop. “An anus and a vagina are nude!” 

“A thong is not nudity,” says filmer man.

Cop stutters, “An anus and a vagina are nude. An anus and a vagina are nudity.”

Which is correct although not appropriate in this situation for despite the thong’s revealing nature, the barney and the forbidden treasure are deftly enfolded by small strips of nylon.

It isn’t the first time cops have gone after gals in bikinis down there at Myrtle Beach, a stretch of sand made famous in the television series Eastbound and Down.

Another similar event took place in 2019, when Tiara Monique Garness was arrested for indecent exposure due to her thong bikini not covering her buttocks, despite police warnings.

One year earlier, a teenager arrested for her sexy bikini sued the city for false arrest, excessive force and for violating her fourth amendment rights. The city settled for two-fifty gees.
