Vice-President JD Vance, MAGA scion, was at Camp Pendleton, the large Marine base, to celebrate the Corps 250 birthday, wanting to see some bangs and booms. The Marines have not run any live ammunition drills over the interstate in over a decade but decided yesterday was the day and made a report that the roads and tracks could stay open.
Vance watched the action, which featured F-18 and F-35 flyovers, parachute landings, Navy Seals swimming ashore, offshore destroyers and amphibious ships, simulated village explosions, and MH-60 helicopters dropping additional Seals over the water, from the top of a big truck.
