"Fun, creativity, and connection..."
Now, any surfer who has ever had the good fortune of a day at Kelly Slater’s Surf Ranch, up Lemoore, California way, certainly left happy but also a little empty. The waves, churned to life via big blue plow, are very fun, the staff ridiculously kind, hot tub warm, locker room cute, snacks well-stocked… and yet. Something is missing.
Mostly animals.
While there is plenty of space for miniature horses, goats, ducks, a cow, llamas, pigs and piglets, etc. none are there even though “Ranch” is 1/4 of “Kelly Slater’s Surf Ranch.
Well, an Arizona man named Cole Cannon realized the white space in the market and so is including a petting zoo at his Mesa wave pool, which just so happens to be opening today.
“We’re excited to welcome the community to Cannon Beach and celebrate the beginning of something truly special,” Cole Cannon, owner and developer of Cannon Beach, told the local news. “This block party is a chance for families, friends, and neighbors to come together and experience the fun, creativity, and connection that Cannon Beach is all about.”
Alongside the petting zoo, there will be a foam truck and costume contest.
The wave pool, itself, is called Revel Surf and will feature a new technology, half dreamt by Shane Beschen, offering, “unique motion system designs, high-performance hydraulic systems, and wave makers.”
Once surfers have had their fill, they can pet rabbits and sheep.

Lemoore sits shitstain in the middle of the largest Zoo on earth…Calfornia.
Interesting fact about Lemoore: Lemoore actually sits on the East bank of what was once the largest body of freshwater west of the Mississippi. Tulare Lake was a uniquely rich area, which supported perhaps the largest population of Native Americans.
However, In the second half of the 19th century, Tulare Lake was drained by diverting its tributary rivers for agricultural irrigation and municipal water uses.
recently the lake refilled, but……
Governor Newsom’s floodwaters executive order resulted in 21,465 acre-feet of water diverted away from Tulare Lake;
Temporary pumps activated by the state resulted in 20,517 acre-feet of water diverted away from Tulare Lake;
The Kern River Intertie diverted 24,710 acre-feet of water away from Tulare Lake.
and to top it off: The state announced a $95 million fund to support undocumented Californians who have been impacted by flooding but don’t have access to government programs.
sounds like California doesn’t have a water crisis…..it’s got an intelligence crisis.
This is so dumb on so many levels. Next you tell me Gavin is just letting water flow to the ocean(like it’s supposed to). Build more dams! Food grows wear water flows! Farmers feed America!(except the ones with high dollar crops shipped to Asia). Deport the illegals that comprise 80% of farm labor! Thankfully we can import the food we need from Mexico.
