Great Whites in Western Australia.

“Stay out of the water” Perth surfers warned after “multiple Great White shark detections”

“It is possible that the frequency of the recent tagged shark detections may increase the likelihood of encountering a shark in this area."

That lovely Western Australian capital city Perth truly is a sight to behold as the year clicks from the gloom of winter and into the wildflower season as it is called when the Kangaroo Paws and Qualup Bells and Grevillias bloom.

You will drive alongside immaculate white sand beaches that contrast with the deep blue water – if a swell manages to squeak through the offshore islands and reefs and you’re there to see it you might wonder if there is anywhere more beautiful on earth.

The very keen group of surfers that call Perth home, and that includes inspirational T-gal Sasha Jane Kink friendly seductive mistress” Lowerson – have been warned about entering the water today after “multiple Great White shark detections” in the last 24 hours.

These included a chopper spotting a fifteen-foot Great White that was circling offshore near Hillarys Marina, two tagged Great Whites pinging the Scarborough detector, a tagged Great White at Mullaloo, a tagged Great White at Ocean Reef and a tagged Great White at Sorrento.

I’m the type of dreamer that often fantasises about the manner of my death: dying in a firestorm protecting my children from jihadists; while pulling a disabled child who has fallen onto a train line to safety; going into wild seas again and again to rescue a drowning family only to disappear once exhaustion takes hold.

One thing I ain’t so hot for is a meaningless end in the mouth of a Great White while sitting in waist-deep water surfing one-foot closeouts.

Or am I being a little dramatic?
