As one BeachGrit commenter correctly pointed out earlier, the, then, four shark attacks in one long Sydney day, eerily echoed a serialised story by Monty Webber a month back about the effect four attacks in one day would have on a small Australian town.

And, now, if four shark attacks wasn’t enough to keep y’outta the drink, another surfer has been hit by a bull shark, this time five hours north of Sydney at Point Plomer, near Crescent Head there, itself the sight of a Great White attack on a surfer four years back.
The attack just happened so details as you might guess are pretty light, but this is what we have: a surfer camping at Plomer was surfing out front of the campsite when he was attacked by a bull shark, bitten through his wetsuit and with part of his board hit. The man, who is thirty-nine, was taken to nearby Kempsey hozzy by a bystander where he’s believed to be in a satisfactory sorta condition.
Local surfers say a pack of bull sharks were in the lineup shortly before the attack.
