2025 sure has been a rollercoaster, though nobody’s rises and falls can match those experienced by Marjorie Taylor Greene. The U.S. representative from Georgia entered the year on a high. Her most favorite person on earth, Donald J. Trump, had just won the presidency making her very happy. The MAGA firebrand attended legislative sessions festooned in a “Trump was right about everything” cap and fought, loudly, against those who disagreed.
As the months passed by, though, something happened. Marjorie Taylor Greene started moving slightly away from her once-dear leader. At issue, the Epstein Files, which Trump had promised to make public on the campaign trail then changed his mind, once in office.
Marjorie Taylor Greene kept the pressure on the administration, going so far as to vote with dreaded democrats in order to force Trump’s hand.
In return, the most powerful man in the world took to his homemade social media platform to call her “far left,” accuse her of being a traitor and, the coup de grâce, not talking on the phone with her anymore. “I can’t take a ranting Lunatic’s call every day,” Trump gamely declared.
Marjorie Taylor Greene, then, shocked by announcing that she would not seek re-election, pundits immediately wondering where she would focus her attentions.
