I’m not sure if I mentioned it at the time but that story made Moana Jones Wong real sore at BeachGrit, the queen of Pipeline launching a fusillade of direct messages demanding we pull story etc.
Anyway, yesterday Moana Jones Wong announced she was pivoting to Only Fans, a subscription-based platform where creators primarily share sexy content, including beaver shots, gape videos, and live streams.
Launched in 2016, Only Fans gained massive popularity during the COVID-19 pandemic as a way for sex workers, pornographic performers and adult models to monetise directly with fans. The ban was reversed within days after sex workers complained, allowing explicit material to continue.
While it allows non-adult content (fitness, cooking, music, etc.), over 80% of its top earners and cultural recognition stem from Not Safe to Leer at While Working material.

Some surf fans were quick to voice their opposition to the OF pivot.
Wait a minute… that sounds too good to be really good. Is OF using athletes for a makeover? of course, everyone on the platform decides what they show, but… is it possible that a platform like this is trying to lure people who come in intending to see athletes, to the dark side? I’m not judging, I’m just questioning even my own prejudices.

Regardless of your content you bring eyes and dollars to a website that exists primarily to commodify bodies and intimate experiences.

I’m not sure what deal you have with them, but it would be easy to sponsor people like you with the amount of money they have made with the people that feed their lusts.
Like I said I don’t know you or have any frame of reference for you personally. But I do know Christ and the darkness of what this platform is. I doubt you’d be associated with it unless there is money involved.
