Tomorrow, we surf. Today, we drive.
Longer road trips get rarer and rarer as one ages or maybe as one ages in an American metropole. I remember a childhood filled with endless driving. Driving the seven-ish hours north, to Kent, Washington, to visit the paternal grandparents. Driving the fifteen-ish hours south, to Moreno Valley, California, to visit the maternal grandparents. Up and down, down and up, over and over again interspersing sleeping with staring out the window with letting the mind wander to wherever it might as various scenes slipped by outside.
Flying into Marrakech, Morocco, with the family, then driving five-ish hours south to the coast brought the glories of road travel instantly back. For some miraculous reason, phones were generally shelved and the various members went sleep, stare, wander in the old ways. I’ve always found the greater Middle East to be particularly hypnotic, maybe the best place in the entire world to drive. Switzerland with its postcard peaks and cows is simply too much. Australia (save parts of the west) with its road stop non-glamor too little. Bolivia’s roads are too messed up, Mexico is ok but also basic as well, Spain is horribly boring, Germany is too orderly, Italy is, also and surprisingly, too orderly, train is the only way to go, in India, making car travel stupid and America, oh America, is too big and also stupid especially inside a Love
Yes, the greater Middle East in the perfect place for longer road trips and is shockingly uniform from Yemen to Syria through Lebanon to Egypt all the way west to Morocco. The towns are spaced just right, their mosques a little treat for the eyes, and ears if one happens to be passing during a call to prayer. The road stops are culinary adventures featuring, without doubt, freshly grilling meat-on-demand plus cute kittens who may, or may not, carry deadly diseases plus cute puppies who certainly do. Vibes amongst drivers are generally chill with light flashes, finger signals and little beeps of horn spoken as a comprehensive language especially if some law enforcement or checkpoint business is near. The driving is slow, in general, but everything is slow and so time vanishes. There is no worrying about when one will arrive, just a pleasant feeling that one will eventually arrive, inshallah.
Tomorrow, we surf. Today, though, we drive.

Did about 4.000km with this luxurious vehicle

most of it on very decent roads, but some secondary roads as per map (paper map not Google) were no more than glorified dirt tracks. Still, some epic drives.

Pips pussy I know you love some of our sayings down here and today I heard one I have never heard before and wanted to pass it on before I forgot it. We had the concretors on site this morning and one of the big islanders let one rip, a worried look crossed his face and he announced loudly enough for the whole site to hear “Fark me boys that cunt was carrying a trailer” and off he headed to the site dunny. Hahaha I can’t believe some on here used to call me basic when I am passing on all these international phrases to help surfers of the world come together
Just saw this. Love it.
I bet no one mentioned it again, or used the same Porta Potty too
Basic as…
Lame 3/10
I remember someone else saying that to me?
Chas is on marroccon tipping point https://uploads.disquscdn.c…
just thought I’d let yuz know
Another cunt with no chin like that pussy in the article the other day on here. Is this a new global phenomenon cuz I’ve never seen anything like it before?
Hahaha evo lution
“It rubs the lotion on its skin, or else it gets the hose again”
Hate to be the bearer of bad news boys but checked the forecast for Brazil and its looking grim as fuck. Constant days of weak jittery, pump, pump jump surfing followed by claims that make ya want to smash your tv. Only possible highlight might be some quick glimpses of some perfectly bronzed, delectable pairs of peaches on the beach but the fun police will be doing all they can to stop any footage. I will be keeping one of my new and clean wankerchiefs next to me on the couch just in case, as they say every cloud has a silver lining yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeew
getting your Billy Squier on down under..
Do you think Chas family of females are stoked to be stuck in the car with him for 5 hours when he smells like a wet ashtray?
Hahahahaha! Yew!
Grabby Meds is gettin the Dane treatment from Jed and Vaughan, over at the Swellians.
Lots of unending love.
Uh, oh. Now Vaughan is against the first round cut because Oscar Berry keeps getting cut. Jed says it’s a mistake. Shitting on Kelly and BG’s tour design.
Do you remember that heat Oscar had at snapper I think it was? He had the heat pretty much won with 2 minutes left. Then in a blocking attempt gone awry, he bailed his board, his leash broke and he had to swim in after his board while his opponent grabbed a wave under priority to get the mid range score he needed. His whole season might have been different if not for that blunder. What a nightmare.
Mala Wharf was so fun this morning. Got convinced to go to the other side instead of dumps . Worth it. Long lefts for days. Yew ! Checked Lahaina harbor . Full on grom fest. As usual .Good day!

Check out this cunt sailing around Hawaii on his Yacht, and surfing.
Temu JJF
(Jealous)
Pretty sure he’s driving, not sailing.
I though he was on his “Sailboat”
I have a truck on island. But I live on a boat. I sail in between Islands occasionally .sometimes beyond into the south Pacific. I have logged many miles over the years. Don’t be jealous. There are good days and then really good days on the blue with challenging days intermixed. I survive.
A TRUCK?
I think you mean a UTE
The more we learn about the Fantasy Surfer Wooden Spooner
Living on a boat(Yacht), with a truck(Ute) on Hawaii doesn’t sound bad at all.
https://www.instagram.com/reel/DZoIE5wvium/?igsh=MXVzOW84ajZ4YTQxMA==
Hawaii=USA, therefore it’s a truck not a Ute.
Then what do you call ACTUAL TRUCKS?
Let me guess … Trucks , or maybe you count some wheels and they are 18 Wheelers?
Semi or big rig. Exactly how you like your women.
Unless it’s a Mac
Unlike torryn Martin who is on his daddy’s sailboat , rich and hip. What a combo! no point letting the truth get in the way of a good story
🤣🤣🤣….🇮🇱🇮🇱🇮🇱

Tomorrow, you surf. Today, you drive.
Tonight, though, I won’t be able to sleep knowing that you’ve told your family they’re in the Middle East.

Please don’t let the sins of the father be passed onto those innocent children, surely they deserve to know the truth, that they’re actually west of 0° longitude in NW Africa…
Fake map.
We all know USA is the centre
No no…we encompass the whole globe.
Of course. The whole planet belongs to the USA.
“Peace through Power”
Too bad the keys to the tank are in the hands of a bunch of monkeys…
Also sucks that $25 million a piece Assault copters or jets, can get swamped by 10-100 cheap as shit drones at once with no logical defence and get taken down.
War never changes, um until now.
Maybe that is why everyone is building all these AI Datacentres.
I thought they were just for Meme videos and Porn
Hopefully John Connor got born.
Someone needs to find him
Look up the “ALITA System”
Developed by a country that is a leader in the field, because they had to be.
ALITA system will consist of 16 launch pads, equipped with 64 drones.
Capable of watching for incoming drones, automatically launching & travelling towards the target at 450 kilometres per hour before taking out everything from small drones to helicopters”
Fully AI. With only 2 humans to oversee operations.
The chessboard is rapidly changing…
Maybe we can also use it to kill any sharks that enter the lineup.
I love that this ad was “Paid for by the Department of War” Otherwise known as your taxes…..

zionism is a death cult
I cannot tell the difference between AI or Real LIFE anymore….
I am guessing this is REAL
not a.i, it’s the magic of photoshop
So it was made with no artificial flavours or Colours and a human used his own creativity?
Pffftttt
(Flavors or Colors for Americans)
You know what would make this pic better….
Some flames starting to come out of the windows and the rear of the Rover.

While Chas watches
Unfortunately the Zionist ethno state and its policy of Lebensraum and Genocide have temporarily farked it up….feel a Solution is not far off….shitrael is the most reviled entity on earth
Landrovers may look cool through misty eyes , but 2 hours into a 20 hour drive in the dirt and you cant feel anything below your waist , cant hear anything and your suffering from vibration induced fatigue and your so hot you could fry eggs on your forehead and you have a 1nch of dust covering everything including youre self , and not to forget stopping every 15 minutes to screw or bolt something back into place , will fucken sort those dreams out in a new york minute.
Haha truth!
Absolute pigs of things.
I have a Landcruiser 105 Series. Never even moved in a year.
Jump started it, and it purrs.
Time to sell due to fuel and Rego costs.
Toyotas were fukn sick, I miss my Hilux Surf. 1200km before a refuel
Anchor Point surf forecast looks fucking dire, small and windy until the end of time. Always fun to get wet though

”The singular joy of the Middle Eastern road trip”
Huh…Well there you go. I didn’t think there’d be a single joy to be found on a Middle Eastern road trip. Well done you for finding one.
The kidnapping threat produces endorphins.
Threat level: Michel Bourez
You’re in Africa mate
Speaking of road trips anyone got any favorite road tunes?
